Spring striped bass fishing in the Hudson River is constantly improving. The majority of our trips are spent trolling single lures with equipment that is state of the art and continuously maintained.  Trolling for these fish keeps us mobile, constantly searching for the biggest schools of fish.  This technique not only allows us find the fish but it also affords us the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Hudson River Valley.

You will fish comfortably aboard our 21' Seaswirl Striper walk-around complete with hardtop, side wind curtains and a marine toilet.  The boat is powered by a 150 HP Yamaha four stroke engine that is very quiet and exhaust free.  The electronics include a Lowrance 5200 color GPS, a Humminbird 777 color sonar, and a Uniden marine radio.  Our medium action rods, reels, and 4 Cannon downriggers are kept in tip-top condition in anticipation of hooking up to a monster.

Our home port is Riverfront Marina, 26 Front Street, Newburgh, NY.  The majority of the fishing will take place within site of this modern marina.  Once we leave the dock we often will be fishing within minutes of our departure, eliminating long boat rides to our fishing sites.

The charter will be 5 hours (although we have been known to stay out longer). The fish seem to bite best when the tide is moving the fastest, therefore, the time of departure is flexible.  Once you pick your date we can decide on your departure time.  I would also be able to do a before or after work charter for anyone interested at a reduced rate.

Gift Certificates are Available.  Call for details.

Remember you will need a Marine license to fish the Hudson this spring.

To obtain a New York Marine license you can go to any local license vendor or go to www.nydec.gov .
